Links for Networking
In order to use the TimeWatcher Networking
functionality you have to set up a TCP/IP Network. A NetBEUI or an IPX/SPX protocol based
Network won't do the job, so make sure your network is up and working, before you try to
use the TimeWatcher Network.
To help you with the setup of the TCP/IP Network, here
are a few links, where you can get a lot of information about Networks:
http://www.homepclan.com/install.htm
from the Home PC LAN Website. This is a very good description which goes through all the
aspects of setting up a TCP/IP network on a Win95/98 machine.
http://www.helmig.com/
- J. Helmig's World of Windows Networking - A page like a fair, very colorful and
animated. But it offers very good information about Networking and gives a lot of
"step by step" descriptions with pictures.
http://www.homepcnetwork.com/
- A very comprehensive page. Their setup descriptions are not as good as the other ones,
but you can find out a lot about Networking there. Unfortunately they don't really have a
good discription of setting up a network with the TCP/IP protocol.
